Field Engineer (m/w)

The Field Engineer will provide a bridge between the customers of our client and the company?s product development team to deliver industry-leading power plant performance utilizing Nanosolar thin film PV technology.
He/she will be responsible for managing solar system technical support and product training for the customers of our client in Europe and the U.S.
Aufgaben/Tätigkeiten
Support, trouble-shoot and analyze VP panel performance in the field
Develop a detailed knowledge of commercial inverter products, their characteristics and performance in combination with PV panels
Create and manage a best-in-class PV systems design and project management capabilities
Support experimental tests, analyze test data, and write test report summaries to record operating performance and provide data to support customers sales and design efforts
Review and revise product technical documentation for accuracy and completeness
Assist in the development of training material content (presentations and documentation)
Develop a detailed knowledge of the National Electric Code in markets in which Nanosolar competes
? Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes
? Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and support
? Travel is required up to 50%, with primary focus in Europe to start and U.S. to follow
Voraussetzungen
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the areas of electrical engineering, photovoltaics, power plant design and/or power plant performance
BS degree, electrical engineering preferred
Strong knowledge of electrical component theory and practice in the solar industry, or a related industry such as UPS, DC/AC power systems, or motor drives
Experience with technical training
Articulate communication skills; he/she will be required to write customer visit reports, technical notes and be able to communicate with all levels of customers on business and technical subjects
Excellent customer liaison skills and a strong customer service ethic
Prior experience in the solar energy industry is a big plus, especially with electrical inverters and/or power plant performance
Must have a strong interest in the future success of solar energy
